Telephone Triage Nurse
JOB SUMMARY: The Telephone Triage Nurse (TTN) is responsible for providing safe, appropriate, and timely evaluation of patient symptoms via telephone. The TTN utilizes clinical experience, knowledge, skills and sound judgment in identifying the nature and urgency of patient health care needs. Telephone triage interactions may require assessment, patient education, and crisis intervention. The TTN properly applies standard protocols and reliable tools or decision-support tool algorithm and directs the caller to the appropriate level of care or service.
