JOB SUMMARY:  The Nurse Manager-Emergency Room assumes 24-hour accountability for the coordination of resources to ensure quality service to all customers, reflecting the mission, vision, and philosophy of Northwest Hospital Center and the Department of Nursing. Reports to the Director-Patient Care Services for the ED. The Nurse Manager has 2 direct reports: Assistant Nurse Managers in the ED. UNIT SUMMARY: The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital is a 49-bed unit and currently sees 60,000+ patients annually. The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac, stroke and behavioral health. Additionally, staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma.
