SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the RN, the LPN works in a multidimensional setting. Emergency Nursing practice involves the assessment, analysis, outcome identification, planning, and implementation of interventions. Ensures effective patient communication and efficient patient flow. Documents patient care accurately and timely.Coordinates patient care in collaboration with RN through effective communication, documentation, shift report, verbal report, vital signs, monitor setup, phlebotomy to include point of care testing, obtaining EKGs, basic wound care, application of splints, bathing, bed making, providing for patient safety, accucheks, stocking of supplies, etc.within the scope of practice after demonstrating competency. EXPERIENCE: One year of Emergency Department or similar clinical area preferred. OTHER: Basic computer skills. LICENSE/CERT: Required: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), IVTC (IV Therapy Certification) EDUCATION: Required: Technical/Certificate - LPN
