SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for partnering with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out. Additional responsibilities include management and development of the unit, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and supervision of staff, assisting with developing and monitoring of budget, policies and procedures, both new employee orientation and ongoing education of staff, and management of quality improvement programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor?s of Science in Nursing to be obtained within two (2) years of hire.
- Three (3) years of related experience
- AHA BLS obtained prior to end of orientation
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Obtain AHA ACLS certification prior to end of orientation period
